Paul, an Amish boy living on a chicken farm in Ohio, is an ordinary boy with ordinary problems, but he has an extraordinary heavenly Father who is calling Paul to Himself. He discovers the consequences of stealing, learns that it is important to go to church, and becomes convicted of his sinful heart.

Paul's struggles don't end after he gives his heart to the Lord, but he finds victory by faith and surrender. He becomes passionate in presenting Christ to friends, neighbors, and castoffs in society, but he learns even more about surrender to the Lord's will when two of his children are stricken with mystery illnesses. In all of this, he experiences true freedom and sweet peace as he by faith walks through the doors of opportunity at home and abroad.
