Most children know what it is to be sick, but few children know what it is to be as sick as Timothy. His days had been filled with playing with his little sisters, with Rover, his dog, and Kitten Boo. He had enjoyed listening to bird songs, watching everything he could find to do on their small country farm.

But one morning Timothy does not feel well. He has a fever and his neck begins to hurt and swell. When Father and Mother finally decide they must take him to see a doctor, his neck has swelled so much that Mother must cut his pajamas in order to take them off.

A long stay in the hospital follows, and Timothy learns all about tests, shots, IVs, and all the things that doctors and nurses must do to help sick people get well.

Letters, cards, surprises, visitors—all help to cheer Timothy. Mother is always with him. God is always there too.

A book that will teach obedience, trust, fortitude, and unselfishness as Timothy learns to cope with the unpleasant experiences that he faces.
