The transformation of a contemporary college girl into a Mennonite woman
While studying English and Arabic, Amber embarked on an unexpected spiritual journey. Relating to five university friends—two Muslim and two Christian students and one godly, gray-bearded backpacking instructor—caused her to ponder things she had never thought of before.
Amber was a sincere Christian, but she began to wonder if she was truly following Christ and obeying God's Word. The practical issue that caught her attention was modesty. What is modesty? Was she modest? As an experiment, she decided to wear an Amish dress to school for three months.
Amber believed the Bible was God's Word but wrestled with how it applies to Christians today. After prayerful study, she became convinced that all of the New Testament has applied to all Christians since the church began. Without knowing where her commitment would lead, she decided to follow Jesus with her whole heart.
Follow Amber's spiritual journey from honors student to foreign missions to an Anabaptist brotherhood. Her story is an encouraging testimony of God's faithful guidance and grace when we commit to follow Him wholeheartedly.
