This book will help your child grow in character as he learns along with Chester that pride can do a lot of damage. Had Chester thought more of others and less of himself, he wouldn't have been so foolish as to tangle with that rabbit.

Like many children, Chester had a likeable personality, but when he thought too highly of himself, selfish blindness marred his character. The next time the children who read this story hear a rooster crow, may they remember Chester and the lesson Molly had to teach him.
