Syoma and Sveta are children of the Nanets, an Eskimo-type people who live in the far North of Russia. Missionaries make the difficult trip across the frozen tundra to visit Syoma and Sveta's family in their tent, or chum. The parents become believers in the one true God who loves all people. This story is based on present-day circumstances in the Far North.
