"There's a place that has a For Sale sign in the yard," Father says one day. "It's just half a mile from Grandpa's. Mother and I want to look at the house this evening."

"Are you going to buy it?" Harlan asks. "Will we live there?"

"We don't know that yet, son," Father replies. "First, we need to look at it. Then we will think about it and pray about it."

There are lots of things to do on a busy summer day at home. Harlan washes the dishes. Then he and Marcus help Mother hang up the laundry. They play church on the porch steps with Dorothy and Jewel while Mother mows the lawn.

But Harlan does not forget about the house with a For Sale sign in the yard. He can hardly wait to see it. Wouldn't it be lots of fun to live in a different house? And living so close to Grandpa's would be even more special!
